Welcome to the "International Summer School on Audio Software Development", a once in a lifetime experience: 3 intense days to learn how to create your own audio software.

It's a Summer School…

This will be a very, very intense experience, trying to give participants the maximum amount of knowledge during 3 days, to allow them to develop audio software. To achieve that, the sessions will have either:
- a lecture format (talks) - the sessions materials (slides, code, projects files) will be available to all participants.
- a labs format, where participants can test the things they have learned, with teacher supervision if necessary, or simply discuss your own audio software issues with someone with higher development experience.

It's international…

English will be the official language during these 3 days.

It's about Audio Software…

The course will focus on audio software development, from research projects to commercial projects, from graphical environments (Max/PD) to mathematical environments (Matlab), from low-level audio to high-level audio (machine learning), from Mac to Windows support.

FAQ

Do I need to bring a computer?

During the sessions, computers will not be required (lecture format), but computers will be required during labs (hands-on), to be able to test things.

Do I need any special software?

We recommend the following software:
- Matlab or equivalent (e.g. FreeMat).
- Xcode (Mac) or VisualStudio (Windows) software.
- Max/MSP or PureData software
- Sound editor software...
